“I think I’m obsessed with telling my stories, for me, it’s always felt like if the world wasn’t hearing me then there was no use even saying anything. I guess I’m learning that I don’t need someone else to validate me. My music is still worth something, even the songs that don’t do as well. I want to make music that feels real, something that's easy and makes people feel happy and less alone, I guess that's why I refer to my music as soft pop. I take the things we see in modern pop music and soften the edges into something that's raw and real.”
